Ways to Fight Hunger Now:
- Get Educated. Attend or sponsor an educational forum on hunger and hunger
advocacy for your place of worship, your school, your workplace or your civic
organization.
- Get Vocal. Put pen to paper; make a phone call; or send an email. Contact your
local, state and federal elected officials. To learn more about anti-hunger legislation
and programs that help end hunger, check out the websites for the Idaho Foodbank
(www.idahofoodbank.org) and Bread for the World (www.bread.org).
- Make Your Voice Heard! Vote! Vote for candidates that support hunger-relief
programs and policies that promote food security.
- Share the Bounty. When you or your organization sponsors a special event, set
aside a small percentage of the actual costs to donate to an anti-hunger charity.
Check out the Mazon website for more ideas (www.mazon.org)
- Get Organized. Never underestimate the power of unity. Become an active
member of the Idaho Interfaith Roundtable Against Hunger.
